How often should my chimney be cleaned?
Once a year for most homes, ideally before the heating season. The National Fire Protection Association recommends a yearly inspection, with a cleaning whenever one is needed. If you burn a lot of wood, plan on a sweep for about every cord. A gas log set still needs a yearly check.
Is it messy?
No. We put down drop cloths, work from the firebox and the roof as needed, and clean up before we leave.
What’s included in the $99 cleaning?
A full sweep and creosote removal for a standard residential chimney, a Level 1 safety inspection, and a $25 coupon toward your next service. Heavy buildup or a specialty system can cost more, and we tell you before any work starts.
How do I pay?
By check or credit card. For larger jobs, half is due up front for materials when the job is booked, and the rest once the work is done and you’ve approved it.
